Chuck's demeanor rubbed off on everybody -- even Duke Meek (although you can't tell from the expression on his face, LOL). Just a few more action shots to get today. Due to other commitments, most of the 1st. Unit wrapped the day before -- including second unit director Corbin -- so Chuck will direct 2nd. Unit to shoot todays scenes.

Final shooting was on Backstreet behind the Cantina and Trading Post and included a fist fight between the teen (Connor Pryce) and Richard Acosta (one of the bad guys). They stand with Elisha in the right background as Chuck outlines the shooting plan with his team. The Arri Alexa is set up in the bed of a pick-up to shoot the master scene (all the action of the fight in one angle) as Chuck (an ex-prize fighter himself) blocks out the movie fight with Connor and Richard.

Only the company stills photographer was permitted to take pictures during this fight scene, so you will have to wait until the film comes out to see it. :D They finished up in half a day and headed back to Conroe, their home base.

After nearly a week of production, Alamo Village returned to its solitary, unexciting subsistence -- greener than before, however, in more ways than one. ;)

While most of us got through the filming of Bordertown with no ill effects, not so for our illustrious
location manager, Duke Meek (see top photo on this page). The company drove him crazy and we
ultimately had to lock him up in my jail. He is on a restricted diet of armadillo and rattlesnake
meat and we do not allow visitors. LOL. This great photo of Duke was taken during the filming of
one of their earlier movies.

Suffered? Well.... the movie company sorta suffered in that it put them a day behind (which they took admirably in stride), but we've been reveling in it after the long dry spell we've had for the last half decade. ;)

Reminds me of when we were doing an all-night battle shoot for a little docudrama about Travis. They had very little money and thus only one night they could shoot without going way over budget and perhaps capsizing. Happy walked into the Alamo that evening and the director said to him, "You're a good Baptist. Please pray for no rain." Without missing a beat, Happy replied, "Yes, but I'm a better rancher. I'm praying for rain!"

No information beyond what I just posted. I imagine those specifics will be posted on their Facebook page as soon as they know -- or can tell us.
