Alamo Village from the air. The town still appears quite far from the fort.

We have visited the Alamo Village three times, on all occasions we parked up near the main gate of the Wayneamo and looked around the compound and the Church, we have never ventured any further. I have never seen it photographed from that point before, looks like we have missed a lot! Oh well, there's always next time!
Be not afraid of any man no matter what his size, just call on me in time of need and I will equalise!

Actually, Virginia Shahan insists that visitors stay in the Alamo and Village area and not go off on walks or driving around other parts of the ranch -- unless you are accompanied by an employee. On the other hand, are you saying that you just visited the Alamo and never even went down to the village?
